Temperature Civic

The temperature grades are A (the highest), B, and C,representing thetire’s resistance to the generation of heat andits ability to dissipate heat when tested under controlled conditions on aspecified indoor laboratory test wheel. Sustained high temperature can causethe material of thetire to degenerate and reducetire life, and excessive temperature can leadto suddentire failure. The grade C corresponds to alevel of performance which all passenger cartire must meet under the Federal Motor VehicleSafety Standard No. 109. Grades B and A represent higher levels of performanceon the laboratory test wheel than the minimum required by law.

WARNING: The temperature grade for thistire is established for atire that is properly inflated and notoverloaded. Excessive speed, underinflation, or excessive loading, eitherseparately or in combination, can cause heat buildup and possible tire failure.
