Getting Ready to Change the Tire Fit

  1. Open thecargo area floor lid.

  2. Take the toolcase out. Take the jack, jack handle bar, and wheel nut wrench out of the toolcase.

  3. Unscrew the wing bolt, and remove the spacer cone. Then, remove the sparetire.
  4. Keep turning the wheel nut wrench to crate slack in the cable. Remove the bracket from the sparetire.
  5. Place the sparetire (wheel side up) under the vehicle body, near thetire that needs to be replaced.

  6. For models with a wheel cover, put the flat tip of the jack handle bar into the edge of the wheel cover and carefully pry the edge up to remove the cover.

  7. Loosen each wheel nut about one turn using the wheel nut wrench.
